Sandy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts from Southern Illinois University. She began her career in 1985 as a graphic designer at Gulf State Advertising Agency in Houston Texas. From there she moved into the corporate world at American General Corp. where she worked on many types of business communications including annual and quarterly reports, corporate newsletters, promotional pieces, and other collateral materials. She was then hired by Genigraphs Corporation to develop and implement a desktop publishing department that serviced its national clients. Finally, in 1992 she founded Sandy Brauer Graphic Design.
